Habitat:
Originating from Taiwan, these shrimp are commonly found in rivers, streams, and ponds with slow-moving water. They thrive in a well-established aquarium with stable water parameters.
Tank Setup:
Fire Red Cherry Shrimp are best kept in a planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spots such as driftwood, rocks, and dense vegetation. A substrate of fine gravel or sand is recommended. They prefer a well-filtered tank with gentle water flow.
Diet:
These shrimp are omnivorous and will readily consume a variety of foods. Their diet should include a mix of high-quality shrimp pellets, algae wafers, blanched vegetables (such as spinach or zucchini), and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp or daphnia.
Size:
Fire Red Cherry Shrimp typically reach a size of around 1 inch (2.5 cm) when fully grown. They have a moderate growth rate and can live for several years with proper care.
Behavioural Traits:
