Suitable tank mates for Discus include cardinal tetras, neons, emperor and rummynose tetras, clown loaches, and dwarf cichlids such as rams and Apistogramma species.

Behavioural Traits:

To ensure peacefulness in the aquarium, it is recommended to avoid mixing too many species with Discus as they can be aggressive toward each other while trying to spawn. Although they are generally peaceful, shy or submissive fish should be removed if they are unable to compete.
