Origin: 

These fish are native to the freshwater rivers and streams of Southeast Asia, particularly in India and Bangladesh.

Diet:

These omnivorous fish thrive on a diet consisting of high-quality flake foods, supplemented with live or frozen fare like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and vegetable matter to enhance their coloration.

Tank Mates:

Peaceful and sociable, Melon Barbs do well in community tanks with similarly peaceful species like tetras, rasboras, gouramis, and peaceful bottom-dwellers like Corydoras catfish.

Behavioural Traits:  

Known for their docile nature, Melon Barbs exhibit minimal aggression, making them an excellent addition to community setups. However, they may display occasional territorial behavior during breeding.
