The Three Spot Headstander also known as Pseudanos trimaculatus, is a striking and active freshwater fish revered for its unique behaviour of resting on its head. An uncommon and interestingly patterned Anostomid found throughout several major river systems in South America, the Threespot Headstander is a loosely schooling species similar to the more well-known banded Leporinus (L. fasciatus).

Compatible with peaceful community fish of similar size, these headstanders thrive in groups of at least five individuals. Avoid pairing them with aggressive or territorial species, as their peaceful nature may make them susceptible to bullying.

Typically non-aggressive, Three Spot Headstanders exhibit minimal territorial behavior. However, ensure adequate hiding spots and space to reduce any potential conflicts among tank mates.
