These vibrant tetras boast striking red accents against a shimmering silver body, adding a captivating flair to any aquarium.

Origin:

Originating from Paraguay, the Rathbun's Bloodfin Tetra is a peaceful shoaling species. Like many South American species, they prefer soft, acidic water with plenty of plants and bog wood, but they are able to adapt to most conditions.

Tank Mates:

Their peaceful nature makes them ideal community tank inhabitants, cohabiting harmoniously with similarly-sized peaceful fish like other tetras, rasboras, and peaceful catfish. Their schooling behavior shines when kept in groups of six or more. Community with no long-finned fish. 

Diet:

Flake, micropellets, small frozen foods such as mosquito larvae, brineshrimp and daphnia.

Water Parameters:

Will acclimatise to a wide range of conditions. pH: 6.0-7.0, dH: up to 18 degrees.
