The Blue Berry Snail is a still unidentified operculum snail from the Viviparidae family from Indonesia.
The shell of this viviparous snail from the Viviparidae family is reddish-brown to pink and grows to 2-3 cm. The foot is strikingly dark blue in color and has funny golden speckles. Like all Viviparidae, this exotic operculum has separate sexes. You can recognize the sexually mature males by their thickened right antennae.
Females have a brood pouch inside their shell where the fertilized eggs develop. Every two to three weeks, the females release a single fully developed young, preferably during the night.
