Tetra Test NH3/NH4 + Water Test

Tetra's Ammonia Test kit measures ammonia levels between 0.0mgl and 5.0mgl in fresh and saltwater aquariums. Ammonia is the first thing you should test for and is the first stage of the nitrogen cycle, as it is the most toxic and lethal nitrogen compound to fish. This is more so in higher PH as at a higher PH ammonia is present in it most lethal form Ammonium. Ammonia should be tested for on a regular basis as any level of ammonia can be a potential problem.

Ideal level for ammonia is 0.0mgl and any level above should be acted on.
